Franklin Y. Paul HPROA Member, who retired from the Department
on January 25, 1997, after serving over twenty-two (22) years, passed
away on Sunday, September 27, 2009. At the time of his retirement, he
was assigned to the Command Center Division. During his career, he was
also assigned to the Special Operations Division's, Mounted Patrol,
Training Academy Division, Emergency Communication Division, Southeast
Division and Northwest Division. He joined the Department on August 19,
1974, entering Police Academy Class No. 66. He is survived by his wife,
Barbara Paul, his two daughters, Tannie Ackley, Renee Beken and four
sons, Darrell Strickland, Derek Strickland, Daron Strickland and Ty
Paul.
The body is entrusted with Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, 20850 Eva
Street, Montgomery, Texas, public service number 936-597-7300.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at Sam Houston Memorial
Funeral Home beginning on Tuesday, September 29, 2009, from 5:00 p.m. to
7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home
Chapel on Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at 1:00 p.m.
Burial will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, on Mount Pleasant Road,
Montgomery, Texas.
