SAMUEL W. ORLANDO: HPROA member passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2009. Officer Orlando joined Police Academy Class number 45 on October 20, 1971. He retired after serving over 35 years and was last assigned to the Northwest Division. He is survived by two sons, Travis Orlando and Cody Orlando, their mother Sergeant Janice Landry assigned to the Vice Division, sister Retired Officer Joan Orlando, brother, Retired Police Officer Michael J. Orlando, and cousins, Retired Police Officer Raymond J. Berger, Jr. and Retired Police Officer Sammy R. Orlando.
The body is entrusted with Pat H. Foley Funeral Home, 1200 West 34th Street, Houston, Texas 77018, telephone number (713) 869-6261. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, November 15, 2009, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, November 16, 2009, at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer, Houston, Texas 77077.
