
EDMUND J. "SONNY" BROSSMAN,82, born in Schulenberg, TX, entered into rest on January 13, 2010. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Gloria Jean Brossman. Edmund is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Margaret; children, Patricia and husband Doug Wendt, Charles and fiancé, Barbara Koteras, Robert and fiancé, Val Kirby, 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. As a lifelong Houstonian, Edmund served 30 years with The Houston Police Department, graduating with Class #4 in 1950. He served in the U.S. Army at the end of WWII. Edmund was active in the American Legion, Knights of Columbus (3rd and 4th degree), HPD Retired officers Association, Little York V.F.D. and various church organizations for over 52 years. He was an avid bowler of 59 years. Edmund was a former president of Knights of Columbus International Bowling Association. He was very honored when he was inducted into the International Bowlers Hall of Fame. A visitation will be held Sunday, January 17, 2010 at 4 p.m. with a Knights of Columbus rosary recital at 6 p.m., followed by a Parish service at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Heights Funeral Home. Funeral services for Edmund will be on Monday, January 18, 2010 at Assumption Catholic Church, 901 Rose Lane, at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Josh Pullen, Chris Ashorn, Steve Kroll, Thomas Collier, Brian Wendt, Craig Brossman, Rob Sziy, Kenneth Brossman, and Chris Moody.
