September 11th Motorcycle Ride and Military Blood Drive
Hello, Allm
To all our "bike riding buddies" and those who are not "bikers" but may know someone who would be interested in this ride, please see the attached. It is for a VERY worthwhile cause for our military personnel.

Thanks to all and "Ride SafE & Happy Highways",

Ken

Our non-profit group, Operation Lone Star - Texans Supporting Our Troops, has organized a 2010 Motorcycle Ride and Military Blood Drive to be held on September 11th.  This will be a poker run, originating from several different locations in Texas, and will culminate with a military blood drive in San Antonio at the Fort Sam Houston military base.  Attached is one of our brochures which contains the pertinent information regarding the event.  We would like to extend an invitation to the Blue Knights to participate in this event.  We have made arrangements for preferred rates at several hotels located in the San Antonio area if any of your riders would like to remain in San Antonio for the weekend.

Our goal is to have 100 units of blood donated for the troops and their families on September 11th.  Knowing that the law enforcement community has always been amazing supporters of our military, we would love for your group to join us in remembering the events of 9/11, as well as supporting all of our brave Soldiers, Marines, Airmen, and Seamen who are currently defending our freedom.

If you would like any additional information or if you would like us to attend one of your meetings to provide any ride/blood drive information to your members, please do not hesitate to contact us at the number below or via email.

Thank you so much and I look forward to seeing the Blue Knights at our event!

Did any of you know Tuttle?  He was a hero in my book; the only person I ever knew, who refused a law suit mandated promotion.  He said, "if I didn't earn it, I don't want it." d.roberts@sbcglobal.net

Out-dated Website
Saturday, June 19, 2010

Much of the information on this site is very outdated. Can we get some updates from the President and Executive Director? John Corgiat, dcorgiat@yahoo.com

Webmaster's response:

John,

It's very simple, when new stuff comes in, I replace the old things.  If I don't get input, it hurts the output,  I don't show things from New York City and etc unless they directly effect the HPD retired officer.  If you attend the monthly meetings you know I beg for input, I rarely get them.

When is the last time you sent something in?  I know it's not easy, but I do thank you for your concern.  It's my concern also.  The action in the board meeting, and at the general meetings are posted as soon as the secretary Sue Gaines sends the too me.  Other than that I'm open for ides.
